Keep It Real works with and for the Somali-Bantu community of Pittsburgh. Our purpose is to serve as tutors for the elementary, middle, and high school students in the community. As well as providing guidance on schoolwork, Keep It Real members serve as mentors to the students we work with. In addition to our tutoring program, we want to organize extracurricular activities for the students we tutor to create a holistic educational experience. We strive to empower the Somali-Bantu community, maintain their cultural identity, and educate the Pittsburgh community about their culture and experience.
